Drive Through Diploma Pick Up FAQ
 
  • When is the drive through diploma pick up?
    • Marysville High School will host the drive through diploma pick up on Friday, June 5th, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Graduates will receive their time slot via student email by Friday, May 29, 2020.  The original diploma will be distributed during this event.
     
  • Who can participate in this event?
    • All Marysville class of 2020 graduates and their immediate family that lives with them and can ride in one car.
     
  • What if my parents have separate households and I live with both parents?
    • We understand that this is the case for several families. In this instance, each parent is allowed to drive a car into the stadium. We ask that both cars line up together. Only the graduate may leave the car.
     
  • What is the route of the Drive Through Diploma Pick Up?
    • The route for the event will begin in front of the district office and cars will enter the field through the west gate of the stadium. Click here for the route map.
     
  • Who can get out of the car?
    • The graduate is the only person allowed out of the car.
     
  • What happens when the graduate gets to the stadium?
    • Once the graduate and family enter the stadium, the graduate will exit the car, pick up their diploma cover, and have their name announced and a photo taken of them while they are on stage. The graduate will then exit the stage to a table where they will pick up their diploma and a graduation program. Then the graduate will re-enter their car and exit the stadium.
     
  • What are the safety protocols for this event?
    • All staff will follow the safety guidelines prescribed by Dr. Luu for this event. We ask that graduates maintain social distancing when leaving their cars. Please see our website for the health officer’s guidelines for this event.
     
  • What if I cannot attend? How can I get my diploma?
    • If you are not able to participate in this event, you or a parent can pick up your diploma from the main office beginning June 8th, 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. Remember, there is only one original copy of your diploma.
     
  • Is there a way for extended family and friends to see the diploma pick up?
    • Yes, the event will be livestreamed and the link posted to our website, Facebook and YouTube. Watch for information about livestreaming on our website soon.
     
  • Do graduates need to return their gowns?
    • No, due to COVID we have provided gowns that students may keep this year.
     
  • When will we know what time slot we have for the diploma pick up?
    • Time Slots will be available on Friday, May 29, 2020 via student email addresses. Check your email for information.
     
  • What if I miss our time scheduled to pick my diploma?
    • We will attempt to fit you in at another time, or if there is room, within the current hour. Try not to be late, as we cannot guarantee there will be another slot available.
     
  • Can I take balloons out and wear leis?
    • Yes. We want this to be your celebration. You may wear a leis if you wish. You can also decorate your cars.  Please remember that the schedule will be tight and every graduate deserves the opportunity to walk the stage and have his or her photo taken.
     
  • Will there be a photographer?
    • There will be a photographer that will be take a picture of each graduate. Photos will be emailed to families via student and parent email addresses.
